Jim Siegfried grew up in a small farming community in central Illinois where he had the opportunity to participate in the sports he loved--baseball, football, and basketball. He went on to play basketball at MacMurray College where he graduated with a degree in Business Economics. After a short coaching career, he entered the business world as a financial consultant with Smith Barney. Using the same work ethic that made him a successful athlete and coach, Jim quickly rose through the ranks of the investment industry maintaining a spot in at least the top ten percent of the company's producers from the first to the thirtieth year of his career.

In 2004 because of his illness, Jim reluctantly resigned his position as Senior Vice President at Smith Barney. His As a cancer survivor, he uses the time God has given him to minister to others with catastrophic diseases, mentor young athletes, and speak where God leads him. Currently he serves as chairman of the local board of Fellowship of Christian Athletes, volunteers as a basketball coach when his health permits, and facilitates the support group that he and his wife founded in 2003.

Jim is a dynamic inspirational speaker addressing the topics of f.a.i.t.H—facing an illness through Him, building character through sports, and overcoming adversity.

Speaking topics for Jim include, but are not limited to:

• Facing an Illness through HIM
• Life Lessons from the Field and Court (Character building in sports)

• The Power of Persistence (The quality necessary for success in life and how to get it)
